Introducing ....... The Good News Patrol!

I don't think many people would argue with the assessment that our nation is experiencing some difficult days. A CNN poll that I saw on tv tonight asserted that 77% of the country says things are going "well" for them personally while 72% of the country says they are unhappy with the way things are going for our country. Is there any good news in the midst of what seems like day after day of bad news?

Biblically speaking, the message of salvation through Jesus Christ IS good news. The word translated gospel in the New Testament literally means "good news." So, there is always good news for us ... God loves us and has made provision for everyday of our lives through the work of Christ on the cross.

The apsotle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." So, in an effort to help me and you keep our minds pure and full of hope, I am going to post a link each day to some good news.
