A BIG Day

Today was a BIG day! I embarked on the pursuit of my doctor of ministry degree through Luther Rice University two years ago. At this point in the program I only have two elective classes left to complete the class work. I also have my major research project to submit and be signed off on by my graduating committee. My plan is to graduate next May (2010), which means I must have my major research project ready for submission by this August (2009).

My major research project is in the area of expository preaching with an emphasis on the application component of the sermon. The major research project is four chapters. I won’t bore you with the details of the project or the chapters, but suffice it to say …. I finished writing the initial draft of the last chapter today!!! I submitted chapter four to my professor this afternoon for him to bleed all over.

Though there will be editing and re-writing to be done over the next few weeks, I am breathing a lot easier tonight knowing that I have submitted the initial draft of each chapter. I’ll let you know what happens from here.
