The Love of God

In church this morning, one of the songs we sang was The Love of God. Our pastor commented that the greatest message of the Bible is "God loves you! Everything else is commentary on this central truth." As children we were taught, "Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so ...."

Could we with ink the ocean fill,And were the
skies of parchment made,Were every stalk on earth a quill,And every man a scribe
by trade,To write the love of God above,Would drain the ocean dry.Nor could the
